5 tips to keep your peptides stable for longer
Peptides are delicate molecules. These five practical tips help you preserve quality as long as possible.
Five practical tips
- 1. Cool, dry and dark. Store unopened, lyophilised vials cool and away from light. This keeps them stable the longest.
- 2. Refrigerated after reconstitution. Once you have dissolved a peptide, it belongs in the fridge and should be used within a few weeks.
- 3. Never shake. Swirl the vial gently. Vigorous shaking can damage delicate peptides.
- 4. Avoid temperature swings. Repeated thawing and freezing harms stability. Choose one fixed storage spot.
- 5. Work sterile. Disinfect the stopper before each action with an alcohol wipe and use sterile syringes. This prevents contamination.
Why this works
Each tip limits a specific source of degradation: heat, light, mechanical stress, temperature swings and contamination. Together they keep your research material as reliable as possible. For research purposes only.
