Research giving — 1% to grants

1% of every order is set aside for the TogoPeptide Research Grants Fund. The fund supports independent peptide research at academic institutions. Quarterly disbursements published in the changelog. (Partner being formalised — placeholder text until the partner organisation signs the MoU.)

No customer action needed — the percentage is taken from our margin, not added to your invoice.

Automated perks

• 1-year customer reward: 10% off code emailed automatically on the first anniversary of your account creation. Operator-side cron job, no opt-in needed. (Cron schedule documented in docs/email-lifecycle.md.)
• Win-back at 90 days: if you haven't ordered in 90 days, we send one personalised re-engagement email with a small thank-you discount. One-time per quarter, easy unsubscribe.
• Cart-recovery sequence: 1 hour, 24 hour, and 72 hour reminders if you abandon a cart. The 72h reminder includes a one-time 5% code (already covered by the abandoned-cart email lifecycle — see _email-templates.js).
• First-purchase coupon: when you sign up to the newsletter, your welcome email includes a one-time 10% off code (parameter coupon in the welcome template).

Bundle & bulk pricing

• Bundle: 3+ unique compounds in cart unlocks 5% off. Detected on the checkout page and applied at order creation.
• Bulk: 5+ vials (any combination) unlocks 10% off. Stacks on top of bundle if both apply.
• Referral conversion: 100 points per successful referral — redeemable as €5 store credit at checkout (1 pt = €0.05).
• Influencer affiliate (item 846): URL parameter ?ref=CODE sets a localStorage cookie that survives navigation. Curated affiliates get a higher reward share — admin-managed in affiliates table (backend not yet wired). Documented for ops planning.

Why we don't do birthday discounts

We deliberately don't offer birthday or anniversary-of-birth coupons. We focus on continuous research-grade value, lower base prices, and tier-earned perks instead. This is a deliberate, principled product choice for TogoPeptide.
